Ibanez X Series – New Original Designs

There hasn’t been anything this big and buzzworthy in radically-shaped guitars since the Ibanez X series guitars first appeared in 1982. The 2007 X Series features completely new and original designs. Check out these otherworldly shapes of the new Xiphos, V Blade, and Arondite guitars. All named for weaponry… and with good reason.

Due to increasing demand for new Ibanez X Series guitars, Ibanez now offers several new models for the unreserved guitarist among us. The new Ibanez ADD120 is reminiscent of the Iceman, with a very similar body shape. It has a mahogany body with a set-in neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with special inlay markers, the Gibraltar III bridge, chrome hardware, and VK! and VK2 Ibanez pickups. The ADD120MG is only available in Metallic Gray finish.

The new Ibanez ADX120BK looks even more like the Iceman than the ADD120MG. Similar features, but with sharktooth inlays. And last buy not least is the ADC120, which is the tamest of the lot. All three of these new Ibanez X Series guitars are loaded with powerful new VK humbuckers that provide full lows and enhanced highs for metal and heavier rock styles.

The V-Blade guitar model features an all-new Ibanez V-shape with neck thru construction powered by DiMarzio’s D-Activator pickups. The original Ibanez design Xiphos offers the same great specs as above in a completely different X shape.

Edirol Digital Keyboards – PCR300 – PCR500 – PCR800

Winter NAMM 2007 – Edirol introduces three new USB digital keyboards and MIDI keyboard controllers. In addition to providing more physical controls than previous models, the PCR-300/-500/-800 also offer new innovative and intuitive controls. All three models are solidly built, and optimized for both music production and live performance.

The new ultra-sensitive keyboards provide a wider dynamic range under your fingertips, while new aftertouch sensors allow you to play more expressively. The new Crossfader allows you to control two parameters at the same time, and can work as a DAW software control for zooming screen views, as well as for synthesizer filters and DJ gestures. The new longer-throw sliders can control eight track faders and one master fader, or function as organ drawbars.

Dynamic Mapping allows the PCR electronic keyboards to automatically assign its physical controls to the most important parameters in the current window of the software being used. Fifteen user memories are provided for storing your favorite setups. When using software that’s not compatible with Dynamic Mapping, you can manually configure the Control Map settings from the PCR itself or the included PCR Editor Software (Mac or PC).
