Yamaha APXT2 Three Quarter Size Acoustic Electric Guitar

Yamaha has just introduced the three-quarter size APXT2 acoustic electric guitar. It’s a smaller version of the world’s best-selling acoustic-electric guitar, the APX500II, and is perfect for travel, practice and gigging.

The APXT2 features Yamaha’s proprietary Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) System68 pickup system with built-in tuner, Spruce top, Meranti back and sides, Mahogany neck and a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It also comes with a sturdy, padded gig bag.

The System68 A. R. T. includes a one-way active preamp and transducer contact pickup system that features mid-boost EQ for tone shaping and a precision chromatic tuner. The transducer system delivers a natural acoustic tone by dampening excessive vibration from the soundboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance.

The new Yamaha APXT2 comes in four colors: Dark Red Burst, Natural, Black and Old Violin Sunburst. It will be available soon from www.AndysMusic.com, or call Andy’s Music at 251-633-8944 for more information.

Yamaha DGX-650 Portable Grand

July, 2013 – Yamaha has just announced the addition of the DGX-650 to its line of DGX Portable Grand Digital Pianos. There are two models, DGX-650B in Classic Piano Black, and DGX-650WH in Spotlight White.

The Yamaha DGX-650 gives you the playability of a real acoustic piano with a comprehensive suite of auto-accompaniment and performance functions that let you create your musical inspirations with ease.

PureCF sampling offers the sound of a Yamaha CFIIIS full concert grand piano, meticulously tuned and sampled under carefully controlled conditions, and reproduces the authentic tone and resonance of this superb instrument with amazing fidelity.

Yamaha’s Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard action was developed to capture the essence of an acoustic piano keyboard, and offers acoustic piano expression, allowing you to play with nuanced tone and subtle dynamics. It even duplicates the graded touch of an acoustic piano with a firm feel in the bass register that transitions to a lighter, delicate feel for the keys in the treble.

Authentic guitars, lush strings, punchy brass… Yamaha’s highly acclaimed Live!, Cool! and Sweet! Voices feature a unique blend of long, stereo and multi-layered samples that capture the essence of each instrument, right down to genuine resonance, expression and vibrato.
