The new Casio PX-150 Privia digital piano has at least three improvements over its predecessor, the
PX130: new redesigned 88 note Tri-sensor scaled hammer action keyboard, a powerful new sound engine, and a new Damper Resonance simulator.
Three Times The MemoryThe new PX-150 has more than three times the memory of the previous generation of Privia pianos, and produces a more natural piano tone. This new sound engine provides seamless dynamics for an expressive and powerful playing experience.
Scaled Hammer ActionThe new scaled hammer action on the PX150 features simulated Ebony and Ivory textured keys for a realistic key feel, and it's three sensors capture the dynamics of your performance with speed and accuracy. The action and the sound engine also work together to simulate how different sized hammers move inside an acoustic grand - relative to how hard the keys are pressed. This provides a very realistic piano playing experience.
Damper ResonanceA new Damper Resonance simulator provides the rich sound of the piano strings when the sustain pedal is used. This helps create the realism of playing a true acoustic grand.
In additional to improved grand piano, the PX-150 has many other instrument tones including strings, organs, electric pianos and bass. Split and layer modes allow you to play bass in your left hand and have two layered tones in your right. Duet mode splits the keyboard into two equal ranges, allowing student and teacher to use the piano simultaneously. A two track recorder can even record and playback your practice and performances.
Connecting the PX150 to your computer is easy, because it features class compliant USB connectivity which allows it to be used with Mac or Windows computers without the need for downloading drivers. It can also be used as a controller for the Apple iPad using Apple’s Camera Connection Kit.
The optional CS-67 stand puts the PX-150 at the proper height and the SP-33 pedal system, also an option, provides the same 3 pedal functionality as a grand piano.
The Casio PX-150BK is also available in white,
