The new Yamaha BB714BS Billy Sheehan electric bass guitar takes all the best features of Billy’s signature bass – the Attitude – and puts them in a package great for any style or stage. Aesthetic details include gorgeous black nickel hardware that not only looks good, but is good for the environment as well since it has no lead.
The BB714BS is a four-string model that features a unique woofer pickup designed by Sheehan with Yamaha's master guitar builder, John Gaudesi. The famous Woofer pickup is fitted with a high-cut switch, and accompanied by a split pickup. A push-pull high-cut circuit lets you choose between a traditional “Attutude" neck pickup tone with high-end, or a bass boosted ultralow 60's sound. The maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard, and is slim, trim, and fast with great playing comfort.

Known as one of the most dynamic bassists to ever pick up a four-string, Sheehan made his name with Mr. Big and David Lee Roth and has had an active solo career.
