When Yamaha introduced the first S115 PA speaker way back in the mid-'70s, it created a real interest in the pro audio world. It sounded very good and was very affordable, two key points that are important to musicians with skinny wallets. Another feature that turned heads was its white speaker. Yep, white. When a Yamaha S115 was on stage, everyone noticed it! The S115V is the fifth generation of the Yamaha S115, and it carries on this tradition - without the white speaker.
The Yamaha S115V PA speakers continue to offer performance and selection normally only available at substantially higher prices. The Yamaha S115V speakers feature new cabinet tunings that yield improved low-frequency performance and newly developed transducers that allow higher power capacities for use with larger amplifiers.
An improved, constant-directivity horn was also developed for the S115V to further enhance high-frequency dispersion and response. Durable steel input panels contain both dual 1/4-in. and dual Neutrik Speakon® connectors. The S115V also features heavy gauge, arced steel grilles, and steel corner protectors. The hallmarks of Yamaha speakers are a great sound, rugged cabinetry, and value -- in other words, more bang for the buck. The S115V more than lives up to the tradition.
