This harp from Paraguay was made by Oscar Maldonado Ovelar, Paraguay's greatest luthier for harps.

Cedar was used for the main body and sides of this arpa, and premium Englemann spruce was used on the top. The walnut carving on the natural colored cedar wood looks very nice.

The carving here is a common design for the pillar on Paraguayan harps. It is of a Guarani woman carrying water on here head.

The back of this harp features two sound holes places in such a way where a professional pickup system could be installed, it also would work well to mic the instrument.
