KanaiLal Vichitra Vina This is perhaps the rarest instrument in our shop, the vichitra veena is a rarity as is, and it is thought that this is the only one built by the shop. The carving on the tumbas is quite attractive, they were also recently re-finished to their original luster. The serpent as show on the headstock may look familiar as it was the standard for all of the Dagarvani veena that came out of the shop. My favorite feature of this veena is the amazing carved swan on the end of it. This photo was taken pre-restoration and does not show the repair bone crown on the bird.
