Slovakian Gajdy by Tibor Koblicek

This instrument is a very typical, but well made gajdy, built by one of Slovakia's masters.

I really like the goat head on this gajdy, it features glass eyes, and of course real goat horns. Even the bag has the fur left on for full effect.

This photos gives you a good idea of the sounds components of the gajdy. The far right is the drone, and on the left the chanter. The chanter has a double bore, one side for melody, and the other for harmony.
