Nasksar's Sitar

I have fond memories of this sitar as it was the first vintage one I got the chance to play. My favorite feature of it was the engraving above the tabli which feature a deer grazing.

This badge is typical of almost all Naskar sitars, I have yet to see another variation of it.

When received the finish on the gourd was in poor condition, and I was luckly enough to have the opportunity to re-finish it. The color balances very well with the carving.

The tabli of this sitar featured a very nice piece of mahogany, which shimmered it the proper light. The finish is very thin, which is a good thing as it really allows the instrument to sing.
