Oriental Musikraft Sarod

This sarod was built to the aesthetics of what you would find in an instrument pre-dating the 1940's.

A really nice piece of aged teak is the focal point of this instrument, as it is quite expensive to obtain such a large piece.

The unusual shape, again showed on older sarods was borrowed from an early 1940's Gopal Sharma instrument.

Dark rosewood pegs are becoming quite popular for sarod now, and with a teak instrument they work very well, and are comparable to what ebony pegs are to a violin.
