We import these very fine instruments direct from India. The gentleman who prepares them for us is none other than Prafulla Athalye, a top long-time disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha, Zakir Hussain's father. They are all expertly maintained here in the shop so they stay in excellent shape. This process helps them to keep in tune longer and preserves the drums' sustaining resonance. They come with high quality rings and 'hats', and a super heavy duty tuning hammer, and we offer several different case options.

We are ever so blessed to be able to offer individual tabla dayan in pitches from a huge 7" low C all the way up to a 4 1/2" highest G pitch. We have a complete 20 note tabla tarang in stock from which to choose the exact pitch or pitches you desire.
