New Yamaha Keyboards In 2009

NAMM 2009 – Two new Yamaha keyboards will be introduced at Winter NAMM 2009, the PSRE-323 and PSRE-223. Additionally, a new handcrafted acoustic electric guitar, the LLX16 will also be introduced.

The PSR-E323, which replaces model PSR-E313, comes with 61 full-size keys and a touch sensitive keyboard. It includes an easy-to-use one-button, two-track recorder and Flash ROM for transferring songs and new accompaniment Styles from the Internet. Packed with 482 voices, the Music Database feature includes 102 preset songs, each with its own specially-selected Style and Voice settings. In addition to XGlite and reverb, the model offers exceptional sound in its price point.

The PSR-E223 replaces the PSR-E213 and features 61 full-size keys, bass ports and 375 General MIDI and XGlite compatible voices for computer connectivity, along with 32 note polyphony and nine digital reverb settings.

The LLX16 features a solid Engelmann Spruce top with solid Rosewood back and sides. The three-ply neck consists of Mahogany and Rosewood. The heralded three-way A.R.T. preamp system features two proprietary, multi-layer transducer contact pickups precisely placed underneath the bridge along with two other sub-pickups, placed on the bass and treble sides of the saddle.

Known as System 60 on the L Series, this A.R.T. preamp features separate controls for the main pickups and the two bass and treble sub pickups, which feed into a master volume control. The tastefully appointed System 60 pickup consists of just four knobs on the body side, which minimizes the impact on body resonance, and features push-lock knobs that depress into the guitar’s body when not in use.
