Ibanez GA35CE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar

If you’re looking for a well-made and affordable acoustic electric classical guitar, take a look at our Ibanez GA35CE.

Ibanez has earned a reputation as a manufacturer of well-made, affordable guitars. Their guitars have been best sellers in our stores since the mid ’70’s, and continue to be one of the best selling guitar brands in the U.S. (according to M.I. Sales Trak).

The Ibanez GA35CE cutaway acoustic electric meets the needs of classical guitarists looking for a good sound, whether plugged or unplugged. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret rather than the 12th fret like most classic guitars. This provides easier access to the upper frets.

Other features include a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, a popular combination of tonewoods that produces a full, warm tone; a 21 fret narrow mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and it’s all brought together by a beautiful soundhole rosette.

The electronics of the GA35CE include the traditional under saddle pickup, combined with the Ibanez AEQ210T preamp with built-in tuner and balanced XLR and 1/4″ outputs. This feature set gives you excellent versatility whether you’re on stage or in the studio. It’s a perfect choice if you attend Neighbour Note music school Toronto.

For playability and versatility, there’s no acoustic electric classical guitar that’s more affordable or gets it done better than the Ibanez GA35CE.

New Yamaha APXT2 Three Quarter Guitar

Yamaha APXT2 Three Quarter Size Acoustic Electric Guitar

Yamaha APXT2 Three Quarter Size Acoustic Electric Guitar

Yamaha has just introduced the three-quarter size APXT2 acoustic electric guitar. It’s a smaller version of the world’s best-selling acoustic-electric guitar, the APX500II, and is perfect for travel, practice and gigging.

The APXT2 features Yamaha’s proprietary Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) System68 pickup system with built-in tuner, Spruce top, Meranti back and sides, Mahogany neck and a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It also comes with a sturdy, padded gig bag.

The System68 A. R. T. includes a one-way active preamp and transducer contact pickup system that features mid-boost EQ for tone shaping and a precision chromatic tuner. The transducer system delivers a natural acoustic tone by dampening excessive vibration from the soundboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance.

The new Yamaha APXT2 comes in four colors: Dark Red Burst, Natural, Black and Old Violin Sunburst. It will be available soon from, or call Andy’s Music at 251-633-8944 for more information.

Brief video about the new – and different – Yamaha A Series Acoustic Electric guitars.

New Yamaha A Series Acoustic Guitars

Yamaha AC1M

Yamaha AC1M Acoustic Electric

We recently received a partial shipment of the new Yamaha A Series acoustic electric guitars, and our first impressions are very good.

The A-Series acoustic electric guitars are different from Yamaha’s popular FG and L Series handcrafted guitars. They were designed from the ground up here in the U.S. by Yamaha’s R & D team and have a new look, feel and sound. They spent three years on the A Series project, and spoke to countless guitarist and luthiers during the process.

If you like an acoustic guitar with very playable action, you’re going to love these instruments. They fret as easily as an electric guitar – no string buzz – and are very comfortable to hold and play.

We think the new Yamaha A Series acoustic electric guitars are going to be another home run for Yamaha.
