Yamaha Announces New YDP142

Yamaha YDP142

This is the time of year when music manufacturers begin making announcements of new products that are “coming soon”. The new Yamaha YDP142 Arius digital piano is one such product.

The YDP142 is replacing the popular YDP141, with new features and finishes. New features include: PureCF Sound Engine, Acoustic Optimizer and 128 note polyphony (the YDP141 had 64 note polyphony). The new finishes include the traditional Rosewood finish YDP142R, and a new Black Walnut finish, YDP142B. Yamaha decided to add a black finish to this series, because black is the most popular color for acoustic pianos.

Yamaha has been producing well-made and affordable electronic pianos since the 1970’s, when they introduced the CP30 and CP70B electric grand. And now, they’re adding the YDP142 to the fold. With its new features and finishes, it’s sure to be a winner!
