The Ibanez SR306EB 6-string electric bass is part of the legendary Ibanez SR series, which features smooth fast necks, lightweight and contoured bodies, and perfectly matched electronics. Ibanez SR basses have been a favorite among bassists for more than thirty years.
The PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups in this Ibanez 6-string bass have exposed pole pieces that provide a stronger signal and increase the response of the higher frequencies. The resulting tone is rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression.
The 3-band equalizer, which works in unison with the coil tap switch, lets you boost and cut bass, mid, and treble frequencies. Each control is centered on slightly different frequencies, a unique feature that delivers a versatile range of popular bass tones on this six-string bass guitar.
Single coil mode (tap mode) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation. Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a deep, warm tone, while Power Tap Mode provides the best of both combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
The Accu-Cast B126 bridge has 16.5mm string spacing with extra-wide string slots that can accommodate even heavy string gauges. The saddle design ensures the string will stay in the string channel, ensuring directional uniformity. This bridge design optimizes the transmission of string vibration and produces a rich tone with lasting sustain.
