Morgan Wilkins

Woodwind / Brasswind Instructor
Morgan Wilkins is a French Horn player, music educator, and lifelong music lover originally from Mobile, Alabama. She started playing the horn at ten years old when she began honing her passion for music. After being influenced by her mentors and teachers throughout her adolescence, Morgan went on to study under multiple music scholarships at the University of South Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Music Education, studying horn with Jodi Wood.

While attending the University of South Alabama, Morgan won principal horn for many ensembles including the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Brass Choir, Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, as well as participating in the Symphony Band as a clarinetist. Additionally, Morgan performed with the Concert Choir, Opera Choir, World Music Ensemble, and Steel Band. She was in the Jaguar Marching Band from the inaugural year in 2009 through 2015 where she received scholarships for her leadership in the marching band.

Morgan has previously served as a middle school band director and elementary general music teacher at North Mobile County K-8 School for three years. At North Mobile, she taught elementary music and 5th-8th grade band and put on annual Christmas Programs and Spring Concerts. North Mobile competed in the Music Performance Assessment, where her band received superior and excellent ratings.

Morgan looks forward to passing on her musical knowledge. Teaching lessons allows her to carry out two lifelong goals of Morgan's - helping people and sharing her love of music with the community.
