The BOSS Katana 50 MkII 50-watt guitar amp picks up where the first generation left off and has been super-charged, with more features, sounds, and effects. If you loved the original Katana 50, you're going to love Katana 50 MkII even more!
Katana MKII updates include:
* Newly voiced variations for all five amp characters, double the tonal options
* Onboard effects categories have been expanded from three to five
* Power amp input for modelers and multi-FX
* Updated editor software
The Katana-50 MKII's five amp types have been extended with newly voiced variations, giving you more tonal options to create your sound. This 50-watt combo amp with 1-12" speaker offers everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for an acoustic-electric guitar. Clean is natural and transparent, while Crunch offers satisfying grit and response. Lead has a wide gain range to suit many styles, from fat, stinging blues solos to fluid legato shredding.
Five simultaneous effects categories are now included on the Katana 50 MkII, putting the tone-shaping power of your favorite pedalboard in your amp. Independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections come loaded from the factory with three variations in each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects to choose from. Additionally, the BOSS Tone Studio software lets you dive deeper if you want to customize your effects using 60 different effect types.
The Katana Mark II, featuring Tube Logic, gives you full-throttle sound at any volume, delivering the authentic output distortion characteristics of tube amplifiers - your tone becomes richer and more responsive as you turn up the volume. The variable Power Control on the MKII Katana makes it easy for you to find your tonal sweet spot, without endangering yours or anyone else's hearing!
While the Katana-50 MKII includes many advanced features, it’s simple to operate. Dedicated knobs for multiple gain stages, three-band EQ, and presence allow you to quickly dial in your tone by ear, just as you would with a standard tube amp. Essential effects parameters are adjusted with a simple knob twist, and memories can be stored with a brief button hold.
The Katana-50 MkII features USB and phone/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, letting you send mix-ready amp tones to a computer DAW or headphones. The direct sound can be shaped with three different Air Feel settings, which are accessible from BOSS Tone Studio. Two-channel USB operation is supported, allowing you to track in true stereo with many of Katana's modulation, EQ, delay, and reverb effects.
BOSS Tone Studio has also evolved with a refreshed look, and a number of parameters have been consolidated into the main screen. There's also a dedicated Pedal FX category, making it easier to assign wah and pedal bend effects to a connected expression pedal. And if you're a first-gen Katana owner, you can even import your custom patches and use them with Katana MkII.
The BOSS Katana 50 MKii guitar amp is a serious tone machine with the power and features to handle almost any gig. It gets you there in style at a price that's every bit as attractive. Add it to the cart and get yours on its way.
