The BOSS Katana MINI guitar amp provides sound quality that exceeds other amps in its class and makes serious Katana tone accessible in a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. This miniature powerhouse has an authentic multi-stage analog gain circuit for big, expressive sound, plus a traditional analog EQ and an onboard tape-style delay.
The analog input circuitry on the Katana Mini features multiple gain stages that drive three classic sound settings, offering the same cascaded gain approach found in high-end amp designs. Distortion is very easily controlled with input volume and picking strength. Inspired by BOSS’s flagship Waza amp; the Brown setting delivers expressive, high-gain tones rich with harmonics, perfect for heavy riffs and soaring solos; the Crunch setting provides overdrive that’s ideal for rock rhythms and bluesy leads, and the Clean setting provides crisp, sparkling tones with a punchy, dynamic response.
In contrast to the limited EQs found in other small amps, the Katana-Mini comes equipped with a genuine three-band analog tone stack that provides a natural sound using the familiar bass, mid, and treble controls, just like a full-size stage amp. You can also enhance your sound using the cool tape-style delay, with dedicated time and level knobs. It’s simple to dial in everything from the subtle reverb-like ambience to long, warm delay repeats.
Unlike typical small, battery-powered guitar amps, the Katana-Mini produces a big, full tone. Its unique design approach includes a custom speaker, advanced hardware, refined circuitry, and special component selection. These components all work together to produce maximum sound quality in a minimum footprint using only six AA-size batteries.
Thanks to Katana-Mini’s advanced, compact design, you can plug into serious guitar tone any time and any place. Weighing just less than three pounds, it sits easily on a tabletop or shelf at home. And with the integrated handle and battery operation, it’s easy and convenient to grab the amp and play anywhere you want, indoors or out. With the aux input, you can even plug in your Smartphone and jam along with your personal music library or tracks streamed from the web. And for private practice and recording situations, you’ll want to take advantage of the phones/recording output, which features special cabinet voicing for a real mic amp tone.
The BOSS Katana-Mini portable guitar amplifier is ultra-compact and travel-ready and delivers an inspiring Katana tone anywhere you want to play. Give Andy's a call and get yours today.

Full disclosure, I haven't turned the volume up over 50-60% (in an apartment) or used the "Brown" channel, but messing around with the volume and gain levels from 20-50% depending on which channel its on (clean/crunch), you can find some good sounds with it. Playing a HS Tele, its pretty responsive to your playing dynamics and breaks up nicely when it's right on the edge with my single coil and I switch to the humbucker. Built in delay is decent but I'm biased towards reverb anyway. Excellent quarantine buy!
