        Gig Bags

I purchased two gig bags, one classical and the other electric. The bags offer reasonable protection for what they are, relatively inexpensive lightweight transportation. They offer moderate padding (10mm, I believe). While the lining is not plush, it does protect the instruments from abrasion. The padding, though on the thin side, does have some substance and can protect against light bumping. The zippers seem solid, the exterior seems tough enough, it appears to be well made, the backpack straps are comfortable and easy to use and the two exterior zippered compartments are absolutely wonderful for holding "stuff." Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. This is a much more comfortable way of transporting my guitars and assorted gear than my hard cases. One must, of course exercise caution when using these bags as they do not offer the kind of protection one gets with a hard shell case or a more densely padded (and heavier) gig bag. Nonetheless, these lightweight bags have become my first choice when taking my instruments out because they are just so much easier to transport with the backpack straps and, especially, the light weight. I really like the light weight. I just exercise caution and I don't let them out of my sight. I recommend this bag as a good, well made, inexpensive, lightweight solution to taking your guitars from point A to point B and back.
