The Ibanez AVD9 solid top dreadnought acoustic guitar is part of the Artwood Vintage Series, inspired by the roots of American music. This series respects the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in their search for the ultimate in guitar tone. One of the modern interpretations is Thermo Aged Technology.
The AVD9 has a solid Sitka spruce top with Thermo Aged processing. A traditional solid top guitar produces a good quality tone, balance, and volume, but when a top is treated with Thermo Aged Technology, the tonewood becomes harder, lighter, and more stable, and helps the instrument produce tonal characteristics similar to those of cherished vintage instruments.
