The award-winning Jumbie Jam steel drum is a real steel drum that's very affordable, fun to play, and made in the U.S.A. It's suitable for all ages and musical abilities and produces the pleasant tropical musical sounds you expect from a steel drum.
The Jumbie Jam steel drum is named after "Jumbie", a character in Trinidadian folklore. This mischievous and playful spirit grabs hold of you, compelling you to do a particular thing. What you are urged to do depends on the type of Jumbie that bites you. You have now been bitten by the Pan Jumbie, giving you the “Jumbie to Jam!”
Your Ready-To-Play Kit is delivered in a portable carrying case which includes: 16” diameter Steel Pan with one octave in the key of G, mallets, metal Z-floor stand, which is height adjustable to accommodate any size player. The stand is also collapsible and fits easily back into the carrying case, making it portable and easy to store.
The FREE Downloadable Beginner’s Guide-Song Book includes 5 Play-Along Audio Tracks + instrument care instructions, playing techniques, the history of the Steel Pan, and the culture surrounding it. Additional Song Books and Instructional Guides are available.
