The PRS SE Standard 245 electric guitar features a classic single-cutaway design, and a comfortable feel thanks to the 24.5" scale. This scale length is desirable to players who are familiar with short-scale guitars.
This SE 245 Standard has a bound mahogany body with PRS SE 245 humbuckers. The tone and sustain produced by this combination of wood and electronics are very desirable and are reminiscent of the classic single-cut guitars of the '50s. A 22-fret, wide-fat mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard adds to the comfort and playability of the guitar.
The 24.5” scale length in combination with the 245 "S" treble and bass humbuckers with dual volume and dual tone controls give the SE 245 a classic voice that is easily recordable and gig-ready.
The Paul Reed Smith SE 245 Standard also includes a very nice padded gig bag with backpack straps and a convenient rubber handle on the front. A front pocket is large enough to carry guitar cables, strings, picks, and such. The zipper has large pulls that are large, sturdy, and provide smooth operation and long-lasting durability for repeated use. Two large double sliders (arranged head-to-head) make getting in and out of the bag a simple and easy task.
