The PRS SE Starla Stoptail electric guitar from Paul Reed Smith has a voice of its own and a retro-inspired design.
It features a beveled solid mahogany body that produces, in combination with the DS-02 pickups and stoptail bridge, a warm and pleasant midrange tone. Even though the pickups are covered, they have a unique sonic tone with a bright vintage sparkle and an airy acoustic-ish top end. If you want it to scream, turn up the volume and the DS-02 pickups go from clean and crisp to punchy overdrive with rich harmonic overtones.
Controls include a 3-way blade pickup switch with a push/pull tone control allowing the humbuckers to split into single coils for even more versatility.
Other features include a 22 fret, 25” scale mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays, Grover two-piece bridge, PRS script logo on the headstock, and a beautiful Metallic Green finish.
