The M1 is an A-style mandolin and features a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, sunburst finish, chrome hardware, and a 20-fret maple neck.
Lyon & Healy, Washburn’s parent company in the 19th century, was the first American manufacturer of mandolins. Washburn began making mandolins in 1887, and the M1 echos the trends in mandolin styles of the early 20th century and remains a popular style today.
