The Yamaha A3MVN acoustic electric guitar features all solid wood construction, and the System 71 SRT2 pickup and preamp system. It is part of the new U.S. developed A Series acoustic guitars designed for serious players, but without the serious high price.

The Yamaha A3MVN features all-solid mahogany back and sides with hand-selected premium Sitka Spruce top with A.R.E. technology. Yamaha’s original dreadnought body style is matched to the System 71 SRT2 pickup and preamp combination for the most natural, responsive amplified tone available.

The A3MVN features a slim neck profile with a rounded fretboard edge that delivers ease and comfort of playing. Yamaha increased its traditional string spacing and lowered the action to accommodate the preferences of today's players. In addition, the semi-open pore finish on the neck maintains the wood's feel, yet also enhances playability.

Yamaha SRT2 is a new pickup system developed and optimized for stage performance. The piezo pickup produces a warm, natural sound that cuts through the mix while a pure acoustic sound is produced by the built-in microphones. With SRT2 you can mix these two sounds to attain the exact balance you want.

The two microphone types available for you to choose from include, the Neumann KM56 small diaphragm condenser microphone or the Royer R122 active ribbon mic.

Yamaha's A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) technology is a process that gives the instrument a rich, vintage quality tone. The guitar sounds as though it's been played for decades, loud, resonant, and well balanced.

The A Series is a departure from Yamaha's popular FG and L Series handcrafted guitars. They have a new look, feel and sound, and are available with either mahogany or rosewood back and sides. They were designed and developed in the U.S. by Yamaha’s R & D team over a three year period. Thousands of hours were spent working and speaking with performing musicians.

The new handcrafted Yamaha A3MVN acoustic electric guitar features many firsts for Yamaha acoustic-electric guitars, and delivers an outstanding look, balanced tone, and a comfortable feel. It's designed for guitarist who require a reliable instrument that looks, feels and sounds great.
