It contains some features and qualities of Yamaha's professional clarinets. Two such features are the 65mm barrel design that produces a focused tone and quick response, and the bell resonance chamber which aids in projection and improves intonation in low notes.
Other important features include an all Grenadilla wood body, nickel-plated nickel silver keys, tapered undercut tone holes, and Lucien deluxe double skin pads for improved seat and durability.
Straight tone holes with a tapered undercut provide outstanding intonation and response and make the YCL-400ADii play like a professional clarinet. The powered forged and contoured nickel-plated keys provide a clear and focused tone and are a good alternative for people who have an allergic reaction to silver-plating.
