(Mobile, Al.) April 1, 2022 - Today Yamaha announced two new additions to their Arius digital pianos series, the Yamaha YDP-145, and Yamaha YDP-165.
The new Yamaha Arius YDP145 and YDP165 digital pianos feature a combination of affordability, high quality, performance and value. The YDP145 is a refinement of its predecessor, the YDP144, and upgrades include an improved CFX Sound Engine, Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), and a Volume Limiter.
Yamaha YDP145 Digital Piano
The Yamaha YDP145, available in two finishes, Dark Rosewood (YDP145R), and Black Walnut (YDP145B), features a generous 192 notes of polyphony, and the Yamaha 88-key weighted Graded Hammer Action (GHS) keyboard action. Other features include 3 Piano-Style Pedals for sustain, sostenuto, and soft-pedal performance, Tone Escapement, a feature that uses a long and narrow hole in the back of the piano to create a wide sound space, and much more.
Additionally, these new Yamaha Arius pianos include a USB TO HOST port for effortless computer connection. A built-in song library and music book come complete with 50 of the most popular piano songs.
Yamaha YDP165
The Yamaha YDP165 shares many of the YDP145 functions and features, but upgrades include the GH3 Graded Hammer 3 action, 150KB/Song Capacity, 2 x 20 watt amplifiers, and the Music Clips feature.
Both models are durable and functional enough to work in educational and worship settings, and will complement any interior space with their classic Dark Rosewood (YDP165R) or Black Walnut (YDP165B) finishes.
These new Yamaha digital pianos continue the remarkable success of the Yamaha Arius YDP pianos, featuring 88-key weighted actions with matching stand and bench. It has been assumed that such a product with Yamaha's high standards of quality and performance could not be produced at or below its price point.
