The BOSS Katana-Mini X mini guitar amp delivers authentic Katana tones in a fun and portable package. Building upon the features of the popular Katana-Mini, it offers six versatile analog sound options and two simultaneous effects. The Katana Mini X is a significant upgrade over the original Mini. Key differences include a higher output (10W vs 7W), a larger 5” speaker for fuller tone, and a wooden cabinet that enhances durability and tone, more like a traditional combo guitar amp. 

The Mini X also boasts a front-facing control panel for easier access, built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming, and a rechargeable lithium battery for convenience. Its effects section is also improved, offering simultaneous use of modulation (chorus, phaser, octave, synth, etc.), delay, and reverb, plus a tuner and more amp voicing thanks to the Variation switch.

These upgrades make the Mini X ideal for guitarists seeking versatility, higher sound quality, and modern connectivity in a compact form. The trade-off is a slightly larger size and weight, but the overall experience is more professional and flexible.

Katana-Mini X features a traditional analog tone stack that allows you to shape your sound naturally using familiar bass, mid, and treble controls. The MOD/FX and REV/DLY sections offer a diverse range of BOSS effects and fast sound tweaks via single-knob controls that adjust multiple parameters simultaneously. You can use both sections together to create combinations like tremolo and spring reverb, phaser and delay, and many more.

Despite its compact size, the Katana-Mini X sound is anything but. Its multi-stage analog gain circuit boasts a sophisticated and detailed design that produces highly expressive tones with immersive depth and dimension. A sturdy wood cabinet and custom 5-inch speaker contribute to a satisfying feel and rich low-end response.
