The Cordoba Fusion 5 Limited cutaway classical electric guitar with Bocote back and sides is a crossover/hybrid nylon string guitar designed to play and feel like a steel-string acoustic guitar. It's an ideal choice for guitarists wanting to transition from a steel string to a nylon string guitar.
A standout feature of our Fusion 5 Limited Edition classical guitar is the Bocote back and sides. It features striking, zebra-like designs and an eye-catching appeal. It’s not uncommon to see many “eyes” and other figures in Bocote wood.
A 16” radius fretboard and 1 7/8” nut width on the Fusion 5 neck provides a playing experience very close to that of a steel-string guitar. This familiarity offers an easy transition for steel-string players and players with smaller hands to the world of nylon string guitar.
The addition of side dot markers on the fingerboard is a departure from traditional nylon string guitar construction but provides non-classical players a reference for their position on the fretboard.
The Fusion 5 Limited, equipped with reliable and sonically excellent Fishman Sonitone electronics, is ready for show and tell. Like many acoustic-electric guitars today, the volume and tone controls have been conveniently and discretely placed in the soundhole for quick, easy access.
Other important features include a solid spruce top, a full-size body with a cutaway for easy access to the upper frets, bone nut, and saddle, and all the warmth, body, and resonance that traditional “classical” nylon string guitars are known for.
