The PRS SE Silver Sky Maple electric guitar is a streamlined version of the original Silver Sky, the guitar PRS first introduced with John Mayer in 2018. If you want a bolt-on, single-coil electric guitar with classic feel and dependable tone, this SE Silver Sky is gig ready and player approved.
Why Choose the SE Silver Sky Maple
- Familiar, comfortable neck: The 635JM neck carve and 8.5" fretboard radius give you the same feel as the original Silver Sky.
- Versatile single-coil tone: Three 635JM "S" pickups produce full, warm vintage-inspired sound with a musical high end that stays clear of harsh, "ice-picky" tones.
- Stable tuning: The 2-point steel tremolo supports smooth vibrato work, and vintage-style tuners help the guitar hold pitch.
- Ready to play: It ships with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and a gig bag.
Build and Construction
This solid body electric guitar pairs a poplar body with a bolt-on, multi-ply maple neck and a maple fretboard. The fretboard features PRS small bird inlays and 22 frets of PRS SE medium fret wire on a 25.5" scale length. The inverted Silver Sky headstock carries a PRS double-acting truss rod, which you can adjust from the front of the headstock without removing the neck.
Key Features
- PRS 2-Point Steel Tremolo: Classic 2-point mounting for comfortable tremolo use and reliable tuning stability.
- Vintage-Style Tuners: Traditional closed-back design that supports resonance.
- PRS 635JM "S" Single-Coil Pickups: Built to PRS specifications for warm, balanced vintage tone.
- 5-Way Blade Switch: Volume and two tone controls give you the full range of single-coil pickup combinations.
