The Yamaha APX600 acoustic-electric guitar is one of the world's best-selling guitars. It continues the best-selling thin-body style series that began with the original APX500 decades ago and improves on its predecessor, the APX500III, with some new important features.

Important features on the APX600 include an abalone rosette, 25" scale length, System 65A preamp with onboard tuner, Spruce top, Nato back and sides, die-cast tuners, and two new colors, Vintage White, and Old Violin Sunburst. 

The thin-line body of the Yamaha APX600 combines comfort, easy top-fret access, and a sound that's suited for on-stage use - clear mids, balanced highs, and controlled lows. A specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing allows the guitar’s top to maximize the body's resonance for a full, natural acoustic guitar tone.

The thin body depth of the APX600 Series is comfortable for electric guitar players wanting to play acoustic, and guitarists who desire a smaller (than a dreadnought) guitar.
