The Yamaha YEP201 euphonium is a lightweight, student-friendly instrument designed for younger players. Its lighter construction makes it comfortable to hold and play, while the euphonium design provides a full, rich sound with an easy response.
Baritone horn and euphonium are often referred to interchangeably; the main difference is the bore size. Euphoniums have conical tubing, whereas the baritone is cylindrical, maintaining a consistent bore size.
As part of the Yamaha euphonium range, the YEP201 features three top-action, nickel-plated pistons, an 11" upright bell, and a 0.571" bore. The gold brass leadpipe and yellow brass body and bell are finished with clear epoxy lacquer for a durable, polished appearance.
