Yamaha has made notable upgrades to its intermediate flutes, and the YFL362H features a B foot with a Gizmo key, showcasing the brand's commitment to quality. Every Yamaha flute is hand-adjusted and play-tested by skilled craftsmen to meet the highest standards.
Important Features:
Drawn Tone Holes
The walls are drawn upward from the body rather than being soldered on and give the flute a broad and light tone.
Open Hole
The open-hole (rather than closed) key design is preferred by intermediate and advanced flutists because it allows the player to apply subtle changes to the instrument's tone and pitch. It is an advanced technique but pays big dividends.
Offset G
The offset G key system is a natural feeling and easier to play because of the offset key placement. It's often recommended by teachers and used by both intermediate and advancing players.
CY Headjoint
The CY headjoint features a double flare taper and undercut embouchure hole design for excellent response and a rich tone. It quickly helps beginners produce a beautiful sound, while advanced players appreciate its consistent response across all registers.
The B footjoint has an extra key enabling you to play 1/2 step lower than the low C. It also affects the sound with a dark and full sound with good projection.
