Swamp Ash Body and Maple Neck
The NF 53 starts with a swamp ash solid body with a flat top, known for its lively resonance and balanced tone. The 25.5" scale length bolt-on maple neck features a maple fretboard with a 10" radius, 22 frets, and PRS Bird inlays. The NF 53 neck shape is comfortable for rhythm and lead playing alike, and the scarfed neck construction and PRS double-acting truss rod keep the neck stable and easy to adjust.
The sound of this guitar comes from its PRS Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) "S" pickups. These noiseless humbucking pickups use taller bobbins to fit more windings, with extra metal pieces between the magnets for a focused, powerful tone. The result is:

- No hum, with strong response to overdrive and high-gain settings
