The PRS SE Silver Sky Maple electric guitar in Stone Blue brings the design of the original Silver Sky, first introduced with John Mayer in 2018, to a more accessible SE-series guitar. It is a dependable electric guitar for guitarists wanting a classic single-coil tone and a comfortable neck.
- Familiar feel: The 635JM neck carve and 8.5" fretboard radius match the original Silver Sky, so the playing experience will feel natural right away.
- Vintage-inspired tone: Three 635JM "S" single-coil pickups deliver full, warm sound with a musical high end that stays smooth rather than harsh.
- Stable tuning: The 2-point steel tremolo supports smooth vibrato work while holding pitch reliably.
- Ready to play: Ships with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and a gig bag.
Body, Neck, and Hardware
The PRS SE Silver Sky Maple is built with a poplar solid body and a bolt-on, multi-ply maple neck. The maple fretboard features PRS signature small bird inlays and 22 frets with PRS SE medium fret wire. The 25.5" scale length gives the bright, articulate response players expect from a Strat-style guitar.
Hardware includes a synthetic bone nut for consistent string response and vintage-style closed-back tuners designed to promote resonance. The inverted Silver Sky headstock shape is a recognizable design feature, and the PRS double-acting truss rod is adjustable from the front of the headstock, so neck adjustments are simple.
PRS 635JM "S" Single-Coil Pickups
The neck, middle, and bridge positions each use a 635JM "S" pickup, built to PRS specifications. A volume control, two tone controls, and a 5-way blade switch give you a wide range of tones, from clean, glassy rhythm sounds to biting lead tones.
