This Washburn M118SW F-Style mandolin features all solid wood construction with a carved Sitka spruce top, carved figured maple back, and figured maple sides. Only premium woods like solid flamed maple and solid spruce have been used in crafting this fine instrument.

The M118SW-D is a Florentine style mandolin and features a distressed look as well as aged hardware, ebonite tuner buttons, and a thinner satin finish for a broken-in and well-played feel. Other features include 1-1/4″ bone nut, Ebony bridge, vintage distressed cosmetics, and a hardshell case.

The F-style body design on the Washburn M118SW mandolin is deeper than traditional instruments for more volume and projection and has a wider nut, with wider string spacing.

Lyon & Healy, Washburn’s parent company in the 19th century, was the first American manufacturer of mandolins. Washburn began making mandolins in 1887, and the M118SW echos the trends in mandolin styles of the early 20th century and remains a popular style today.
