Emily La Force graduated from the University of Mobile with a Bachelors of Arts, obtaining a double concentration in Music Composition and Piano Performance in 2017. She has taught piano since 2016 and has a love of teaching and inspiring students with a love of music.
Making music since high school on, some of Ms. La Force’s performing opportunities include: performing in her youth group worship band; performing in the University Mobile Piano Ensemble; performing in the University of Mobile ensemble, Welsh Revival, an all-girls Celtic group that performed and travelled throughout the Southeastern United States; accompanying in several junior and senior recitals during her time at the University of Mobile; performing in a piano quartet for the University of Mobile Christmas Spectacular; and performing in several churches in the Mobile area. She has also participated in several local competitions and festivals in the Mobile area, including the Mobile Piano Sonata Competition, the Gulf Coast Steinway Society Festival, and the Pensacola Composer Festival, where two of her compositions were performed.
With experience in teaching and performing classical and contemporary styles of music, Ms. La Force is a well-rounded, versatile teacher using many different styles and tools to effectively engage students in learning music.
