The Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar is another Yamaha first!
The FSTA TransAcoustic guitar produces reverb and chorus directly from the body of the instrument without any external equipment - no cables, pedals, or amps are required!
First of all, the guitar is a well-made concert steel string instrument, similar to other Yamaha FS models. It has a solid Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. It's great for fingerpicking and produces a well-balanced sound and projection, but the TransAcoustic technology sets it apart from the pack.
This bears repeating, no external amplification is required to hear the reverb and chorus effects, which are amplified by the instruments' sound chamber (body). There is a small circuit board and actuator component inside the body that create the effects. Three controls adjust the amount of chorus, reverb and the line out volume. The control knobs are very thin and do not interfere with your playing.
You have to hear and experience it to believe it. The Yamaha TransAcoustic FSTA guitar lets you enjoy the benefits of lush reverbs and rich chorus effects without any other outboard gear. It sounds like magic (maybe it is), but it works.
