The MXR Six Band EQ pedal is not your father's 1970s guitar equalizer! It's been upgraded with noise-reduction circuitry, true bypass switching, brighter LEDs for increased visibility, and lightweight aluminum housing.
The MXR guitar equalizer is a versatile tone-shaping pedal and covers all the necessary guitar frequencies. Each slider provides +/-18dB of boost or cut for precise control over your sound.
The Six-Band EQ (equalizer) can create scooped-mid rhythm tones with massive low end, add natural-sounding warmth to a quacky acoustic pickup, eliminate onstage feed-back, and much more. You can also use this 6-band equalizer in the effects loop of your amp for a huge, sculptable lead boost.
All venues are not the same, concerning sound projection. The MXR 6 Band EQ pedal can assist you in adjusting the tone - tone shaping - of your instrument. If you need clarity, lightly boost high frequencies. Conversely, if you need fullness or low end, boost the low frequencies. Always use common sense when boosting frequencies, and only adjust in small increments.
The MXR guitar equalizer pedal can be powered by a 9-volt battery, a Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter, or the DC Brick, Iso-Brick, and Mini Iso-Brick power supplies (not included).
